Hi,
I am a resident of India.
I was in the UK in 2023 and had an EE sim as my primary mobile number.
When I moved to India, due to inactivity, my EE account got closed and the linked mobile number was re-circulated for new assignment.
Is there a possibility of getting the same number with a new sim, if the number has not been provided to anyone.
Thanks.

@Omkarchavan once you relinquish use of a number, you cannot get it back.

So there's no way to get a custom number through a different account also ?

@Omkarchavan you can get a new number with a new SIM card but your problem is you cannot activate this whilst in India and this SIM card has to be activated in the UK and used in the UK first before it’ll work abroad. EE also do not post abroad.

Thanks Chris.
So, my problem is that I have my old number linked with one of my accounts and I need the same to login into the app without the OTP.
I was thinking of a possibility of getting the same number, so that I can at least get that OTP part sorted out.
Any other solutions you suggest ?
Is there a possibility that someone else in the UK has that number now? Any possibility to check that ?

@Omkarchavan , there is no way you can get that number back at all, even if someone else has the numnber, especially as you are not in the UK, you should have another way of logging into your accounts.

As above - when a number is disconnected, it is released back to EE to be quarantined for a period of time before being made available for re-use.
Given the length of time elapsed, it is no longer your number. You should seek alternative means to access the app/website you are struggling with.
