Hi @Samstheman7541

Welcome to the EE Community

5G is only available on Pay monthly plans currently, so if you are currently on EE Pay as you go or just looking to join us and looking to get 5G you would need to take a Pay monthly plan.

EE SIMs are not "G" specific.

To access 5G services, you need a 5G-compatible phone on a 5G-enabled pay-monthly plan.

Do I need to have a monthly plan or is 5g enabled on pay as you go

As per previous replies to this thread, EE SIMs are not specific to any "G".

You need a 5G phone on a 5G plan, being used in a 5G area.
