I’ve brought an EE sim plan, And I used to have an O2 sim. I said to keep my old number But it says it’s going to transfer like a month later instead of a couple days? I’ve got a new number with the sim, but I want my old number, I don’t know what to do?

@Jxdeez_071 : Your no. should port within 1 working day of you activating your new EE SIM on the EE network. So probably Tues. now.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Your new EE SIM will have a temporary number assigned when you first receive it. If a PAC was supplied as part of the order, that will be submitted when you first activate the new SIM onto EE's network.

A port-in date will be set then, usually the following working day. This assumes activation during normal working hours - if during the evening, add an extra working day to these timescales.

If EE's text message refers to a month's timescale, that's probably picking up the usual "pending" period that a PAC can potentially be held for.

Hi it’s been nearly 4 days and I still have the temporary number, I already did the pac code and that but it says it will move the number in a month

An exact timeline is crucial here. Need to establish whether your PAC should have been submitted, and when this should have been done - bearing in mind that weekends, not being working days, don't count.

When & how did you purchase your new EE SIM? If this was an online or telesales order, when did you activate the new SIM onto the EE network?

When exactly did you submit your PAC, and how was this done?

Hi I purchased the new sim on 23/07, I did it on the online ee website, it’s a monthly subscription.
And with the pac it asked me before I brought it, it asked to get a pac code so I can keep my number, which I did, I put the pac code in and it said all was successful

If you bought the SIM online for delivery, then when did you receive the SIM and first activate it onto EE's network?

The PAC supplied at point of ordering is held in pending until the SIM is activated, and is then submitted.

Meaning the next-working-day rule counts from then. If this was done after approx 5pm on a Friday, for example, the PAC is submitted Monday for port-in on Tuesday.
