Hi everyone
So I've got a brand new EE sim I would like to activate while abroad, but can't seem to figure out how. I am currently traveling for work and can't call EE, I was hoping they have a Live Chat option available to everyone, just like any other company does, however, it seems that they don't even have an email contact option let alone a live chat. Which in all honesty seems super weird to me.
I've read somewhere that when you top up a PAYG number, it activates automatically - unfortunately it doesn't, as I've just topped up with £5 and the nothing happened.
The instructions on the EE website state thst I have to enter the phone number and receive a pin. Well that looks a bit illogical as how would I be a me to receive a message on a non activated sim?
It then says to enter sim card's serial number to activate, but I don't have the packaging with me, just the plastic holder and the serial number is nowhere to be found! Again, I was pretty sure the serial number would be available at the back of the sim card, but again, not with these guys.
As I mentioned earlier I don't currently have a opportunity to call EE directly hence posting this issue here. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

PAYG SIMs cannot be activated whilst abroad, and roaming - the ability to use a SIM on foreign networks - is enabled on first use in the UK.
You will need to use your new SIM on EE's UK network first, at which point it will be enabled for future use abroad.
