Can I use my temp sim while my main number gets ported from Lebara to EE?

Hello,

I opted to port from Lebara to EE on Friday around 5:45PM and put in a request. The store employee gave me a sim which has a different temporary number. Can I start using that temp sim or using that temp sim will delay the porting process?

My Pay as you go recharge on Lebara has expired and I dont have anything else to use so just wondering if inserting that sim and using it will cause any delay or not.

@Shaggyshyper : You may use that SIM immediately. In fact the sooner you use it the sooner your no. will port. It is in fact your permanent SIM awaiting your no. to port.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Wonderful. Thank you. The story employee told me when the network on Lebara goes away then insert the EE sim and it should have ported by then. I did not relise in fact you have to start using the temp sim to initiate the port process. That is helpfu. I should have done this earlier in that case.

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.

It is getting sorted. Called EE and spoke to one of the custome servie person and he advised that migration is in process and should be done in 24-48hours.

You've been slightly misadvised there.

When you submit your PAC, a port-in date is usually set for the following working day - assuming you submitted the code by late afternoon.

Anyone who advises you "24 hours" or "48 hours" is missing the crucial working day point.

I read about this on another forum discussion as well that it is more of working day scenario rather than 24hours. I started using the sim yesteday around 12:30PM and hoping it will get fully migrated and ported sometime today even if it  means past 24hours mark but before midnight today.
