Can I transfer my SIM (it's unlocked) to my iPad...?

Hello

As I may have mentioned here before, I am currently being freighted round the country because I'm being held hostage by the Court of Protection. The effect this has had on my physical and mental health cannot be overstated. I am under DoLS which means that I am basically being held under house arrest because I cannot leave where I am due to poor health. DoLS is supposed to only used to for safeguarding if someone is a risk to themselves. I wasn't suicidal until the CoP got its claws into me. Now I'm COMPLETELY DESTROYED. I'm not even mentally ill (or at least I wasn't) I'm autistic.

Anyway, every where I have been dumped to date has had really REALLY poo Internet. I have 4G access on my phone but a member of staff at the last place I was dumped it dropped it and it now looks like this:

IMG_5666.jpegAccording to my account, I'm eligible for an upgrade but, although the login's mine, it's my mum who pays the bill (£25 for unlimited data). If she was to contact EE, presumably she'd be able to get me a new phone (is that's what's meant by 'upgrade'?). In the meantime, can I transfer the SIM into my 4th generation iPad Pro...? Or does that require a micro-SIM...? I'm HOPING that, if I can, I'll get a more reliable connection because at the moment, it disconnects constantly and the speed is DIRE (I know it's only 4G, but I think I should be able to expect more than 16Mbps down - I seem to recall there was a time in Leicester, before my phone was killed, I was getting 6½ times that). I'm in Wing (LU7) and the checker promises "excellent coverage; but it's a bit poo. Okay a lot poo - it's taken me almost 2 HOURS to do an online food shop because it kept dropping.

If it's possible, how would I go about doing it...? I don't have anything to 'ping' the tray out, I don't think, so this could be a nonstarter...

I didn't really know where to put this, so if this isn't the right forum, well obviously you'll need to move it.

Like I said, I'm autistic and, like many neurodiverse people, this really is a lifeline.

@AtheneNoctua  If your mums the account holder only she can do the upgrade for a new handset.

As for putting the phone sim in the iPad you need a nano sim for that.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
