Activate sim on LTE Laptop

Hi, Can anyone advise how I activate the Pay as you go sim that came with my HP LTE laptop. 

It sends an activation code to the telephone number on the sim, no good, as it's in my laptop.

Doesn't your lappy have a text or SMS facility? Otherwise you'll have to put the SIM in a mobile phone to receive the code. 

However you don't need to register the no. to EE just to use it. It is auto activated just by connecting to the mobile network.
