Accidentally deactivated SIM card and need to reactivate

I tried to add a holiday eSIM from my holiday provider but have unknowingly deactivated my SIM card for my own phone eSIM option. My plan is now inactive and I obviously can’t make calls or use my phone apps etc unless in the hotel Wi-Fi range. My settings do not give me the option to reactive my sim. Please can someone help? I’m assuming I need to contact re direct to activate the plan as I cannot get any access to the mobile plan data. I am currently on holiday.

@LB-19  Sounds like you requested to change to the eSIM then and this can not be done when roaming.  Your sim can not be reactivated once you request a change to the eSIM, not an be done until you’re back in the UK.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@LB-19  Your going to have to wait till your back in the UK,  then you’ll need to call customers services and request that the eSIM is reactivated.  You can not activate the eSim on a roaming network.

Thanks Chris but I have no eSIM activated or an active SIM card so no plan. I can’t access anything in the mobile data option so no roaming either! I should still have an active EE plan but not an active SIM card or eSIM! Can EE not just reactivate my SIM card?

Roaming is an account-level option. Many users confuse this with the "data roaming" option in the settings which merely enables the use of mobile data whilst already roaming.

If it were possible to activate a new SIM abroad, then previous posts would have advised this. You can't connect to foreign networks without an active roaming-enabled SIM, if your SIM is no longer active this creates a catch-22 situation.

Thank you for your responses. I will just have to wait until back in UK

Did you manage to get this sorted? The same has happened to me? My sim is deactivated.

Hi @Holliemc00

Welcome to the community.

Are you abroad at the moment or are you in the UK?
