Is sending texts abroad free?
IE. From USA to UK or within USA to a UK mobile number.

@mackenzie86 That’s called roaming and you purchase an add on to use your allowance while there if your tariff doesn’t has this included with it. ( you dont have to purchase any add ons it’ll probably just cost more if you don’t )
While the text will come from tariff allowance it just depends on what tariff you have or even you need to purchase any add ons,

Thanks Chris,
I have bought a USA data sim, for using messenger etc so I do not want to purchase any roaming add ons.

If you want to totally avoid any roaming charges, be sure to not send any text messages or make/receive any calls whilst abroad.
The only thing free to do whilst using your phone on foreign networks, is to receive text messages.

No, if it is not included in your roaming allowances, sending a text costs 93p on contract or 60p on PAYG each.
