Good afternoon

I'm off to Vietnam in April 2025, would i be able to use my phone like i can in the UK. I pay monthly and have the roaming extra

@djcrafty : No! Outside the EU, you cannot use your usual UK allowances there but will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs/countries/vietnam.

As  you are on contract, just remember to text ROAMING to 150 before you leave UK to ensure the roaming ability is enabled on your account.

I presume the "roaming extra" you refer to is the Roam Abroad pass - this covers the USA, Mexico, Canada, Australia, NZ & the EU.

The charges for Vietnam are set out at https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/roaming-costs > Vietnam > Pay-monthly. This also links to call & text add-ons.

Ensure that you enable roaming before leaving the UK, by texting ROAMING to 150. This unlocks access to foreign networks.
