Urgent: Frozen Roaming SMS Pipeline on AT&T

Lilz02
Explorer

Hi, I am a Pay As You Go user currently traveling in the US. I successfully topped up my account online, and my phone has strong signal bars manually locked onto AT&T. However, my incoming and outgoing SMS text routing has completely frozen on the network side. Since I am abroad, I cannot dial out to 150 to reach support. Could an official Community Manager please send a manual HLR Location Register Reset to my mobile number to unfreeze my texts? Or please provide another workaround?

Had you used that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before going abroad? To be used abroad EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.

No one will contact you from this user discussion group other than thro' the medium of these forums by posts such as this. Anyway we haven't the faintest idea who you are. You need to phone CS.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Home Broadband & Home Phone or Option 2 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband
