Unable to use my plan abroad

Hi All,

I am on holiday this week in Montenegro and suddenly need to make an urgent call to the UK.

When I arrived I paid for the zone plan so I could use my phone abroad without issue but all calls to UK are failing.

I have checked roaming is on, rebooted, turned on VoLTE, checked spend cap, checked network selection and when I text 150 it also says I’m all set however I can’t even call EE for help and the AI bots are unable to solve the issue.

I’m unable to manually select carrier network because it immediately reverts to automatic selection when I toggle it off.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Joe

@joedobson  Are you putting 44 or +44 instead of the 0 at the start of the number ?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@joedobson

If your device is automatically reactivating the Automatic Network Selection as soon as you switch it off, you may have a slight glitch on your device.

You can try a Network Settings Reset on your phone, which should clear it.
Just be aware doing this step will delete all your saved WIFI settings, so you'll need to add them in again!

For Android it's usually
Settings > General management > Reset > Tap Reset network settings.

Or
Settings > System > Advanced or Reset options > Tap Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth or Reset network settings.

For Apple
Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings
