Sim not working abroad

I bought a pay as you go SIM card recently as I’m going to be in the UK for a few months. I travelled to Spain for a holiday and my data, texts, and calls won’t work at all. I’ve topped up my account and tried texting the EE number with ROAMEU7D but the texts won’t even send. My roaming is on and I don’t know what to do at this stage. As my calls won’t work I can’t even call the help line. I have wifi calling on but even that is working.

Did you stop in the UK 1st? Had you used that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before you left to go abroad? To be used abroad EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.

@bennettmaria452 , wifi calling does not work abroad, and you still need to have an active SIM card for it to work, just to add to what @XRaySpeX  has written.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.
