Roaming in USA

Hi, I travel to USA  in the next few months, And  very confused about the roaming package.

I told previously that I need to purchase of roaming pass which would cost me £25. I’m in America for 10 days,.

But now I cannot find this roaming pass and it just seems to be a standard 7 day roaming pass for £25? Has this changed? I’m wanting to find out what is the cheapest and easiest way to use my EE mobile phone including minutes text and data in the US as easy as possible. And can this all be set up prior to me going on holiday?
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

thank you.

@Rkakmkak1 : You are offered the roaming passes in a Welcome msg when you arrive.

If you are on contract, you may use your usual UK allowances in the EE ROW Zone 1 with up to 50 GB data per billing month if you have more, when you buy the Zone 1 Pass for £5 / day or £25 / week or already have it as an Inclusive Extra or you have an EE Full Works or EE Max Plan. Otherwise you will need to pay the charges or buy roaming add-ons as set out in https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs/countries/usa..

As you are on contract, just remember to text ROAMING to 150 before leaving UK to ensure the roaming ability is enabled on your no.

Sorry to jump on this as im looking to the same. How do you buy the roaming add on when in the US if you don’t have any mobile data. Previously I use to buy prior to travelling?

Your duplicate post has been merged into the same thread.

EE's roaming plans were changed back-end of 2024, you're correct to identify that the current flat-rate costs for the USA are either £5/day or £25/week - you will therefore need to purchase 1 x 7day pass, & 3 x 1day pass if you want your entire stay to be covered by flat-rate inclusive roaming.

Whatever you decide, you need to ensure the free roaming facility is enabled on your SIM - this unlocks access to foreign networks and ensures you have coverage abroad. Text ROAMING to 150 before leaving the UK.

When your phone first connects to a US network, it will receive a text message advising of costs and including a link to purchase any add-ons. You can make & receive calls, send & receive texts without purchasing an add-on, these will be charged per-minute or per-text. If you purchase an add-on, that will then cover your calls & texts, and also enable access to mobile data.
