I am in New Zealand, travelling for 30 days. Before leaving the UK I changed my plan to include full roaming as the old roaming pass is no longer available. I arrive in New Zealand and immediately get an EE text inviting me to pay £5 per day or £25 per 7 days for a roaming pass. Advice welcome on what is going on and what to do. Cannot find anywhere on EE website on how to send a text to them.

Can you be more specific about which plan you are on, and what "full roaming" it is you have included?
There's no SMS-based CS as such, just the automated help system that can result in a callback being requested.

EE One All Rounder with full roaming add on for my phone and my wife's phone (although the add on seems to have disappeared off her phone). Requesting a call back is a bit of an issue as we are 13 hours ahead of UK time!

Hey there @Baggieal, welcome to the Community, and I hope you've been enjoying your time in New Zealand so far too 😊
Our current All Rounder plans include EU Roaming as standard, but the additional destination including New Zealand are a separate option; it's only Full Works that includes this as standard.
Some older version of All Rounder did allow this to be added as a swappable option, though.
When was it you moved over to this plan, and what can you see in the EE App if you go to 'View Mobile Add-ons' and select 'Inclusive Extras'.

Hi, It was the 20th Feb (2025). Full Roaming shows in Active Add Ons for my phone but not for my wife's phone. Tried the support line but that was a joke. Automated response with text stating if abroad reply 'Abroad' which I tried but the text wouldn't send.. I gave up and made do with Internet access at cafés and hotels. Will switch provider for both phones when back in the UK.

Are you able to send a screenshot of what you are looking at @Baggieal, blocking out any personal details or account numbers?
Full Roaming tends to be the ability to use the phone abroad rather than an add-on.

Thanks @Baggieal
That Full Roaming option is just the capability for the phone to connect to a roaming network anywhere in the world, rather than an add-on.
What do you currently have set up as your inclusive extra?

It is not what you think it is @Baggieal. That is not anything that would let you use your minutes, texts or data, it is to let your SIM connect to a network. It would then be subject to our standard roaming rates in New Zealand. If you didn't have that in place, you'd have no network connection.
The All Rounder plan does not include roaming in New Zealand as standard, as @Peter_W mentioned, so if you wanted to have inclusive allowances, you would need the chargeable add-on.
