Roaming in Bulgaria

Hello,

I have a PAYG Sim and paid £10 for the 7 days of roaming in EU add-on.

I have not been able to connect properly to a network. My phone (android) either shows up as having 4G and 4 bars of reception but then an exclamation mark next to the "R" for roaming, or can't connect to network. 

I have tried manually connecting to another network, and using a different APN, turning on/off phone, on/off aeroplane mode, roaming data is enabled. Nothing working.

Very frustrating - please help!

Have you used your SIM card in the UK before going to Bulgaria?

Did you receive the welcome message on arrival in Bulgaria?
