Once again arrived in France and received the EE message about roaming and clicked the link. As last time, was taken to the page but there is nowhere to choose a 7 or 12 day pass. EE failed to answer the problem last time

Hi @AlanJH.
Thanks for coming here.
What page are you taken to when clicking the link?
Do you have access to your EE app?

Thanks for getting back to me @AlanJH.
Are you connected to WiFi when clicking the link?
You can also apply the pass in your EE app under Roaming or by texting ROAM to 150.

Yes originally. Turned off WiFi as instructed. No further progress. Saw nothing about applying for the pass on the app than I’d seen and found useless already. Will now try texting 150

Does this mean that the appropriate daily/7day/12 day rates are applied automatically?

@AlanJH The ability to buy passes in app should be in the Manage> Roaming section, as well as the text option mentioned.
The daily pass is the only automatic one and is the default if your plan does not have inclusive roaming. The first call you make or receive, text you send or data you use opts you into the daily charge and unlocks your allowances for the rest of the day.
The 7 day and 12 day pass have to be purchased rather than being automatic. Both the daily pass charge or pass purchases are added to the next bill after being purchased.

That takes us back to where I started. In spite of lots of looking on the app, clicking welcome messages etc I cannot see anywhere offering a choice to buy a 7 or 12 day pass. It’s now going to be cheaper to stick to the daily rate rather than buying 7 days as I’ll be home again in 4. Thanks for trying. EE remains disappointing

Hi Alan, Just arrived in the Netherlands and had the same issue. It took me forever but I've solved it so maybe you have the same issue. I know its too late for you now but i'm putting the answer up here for others like me. I text ROAM to 150 went through the steps until I'd put the country in and got a message that said I had put a block on additional purchases. I replied REMOVE and it didnt work. Started all over again from ROAM got to the REMOVE reply again and it said it would text me once this block had been removed. They never text me but I went through it all again and that bit about the additional block was no longer there. I returned to the original text from ee with the link to the 7 and 12 day passes that you shared in your replies and low and behold there was a tab at the top right that said buy passes that was never there before. Absolutely shocking service from EE. It was easier when you could prebuy them in the UK. Anyway hope this helps you and others in the future.
