Not able to select 10 day pass when abroad

Hi, I have just arrived in Taiwan and I am not able to use mobile data. I do not get an option to buy the 10 day pass, even though the information I added said I would. It currently says waiting. The only option I have is the £8 + for using internet for a short amount of time. Hope you can help.

@Mattklong , no, you will have to use Skype for free using the free number in my signature.

Have you also tried to do a manual search for a network to see if that works?

Just to let you know, contracts do not just end, just the minimum term.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using Skype or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

I’m journeying alone, so it would be great to not have to worry about this 🙂

To bump this again, my included add ons say Full Roaming - Free. But I seem to have a limit and paying £8.45 per day.

@Mattklong , no need to bump it up, we are customers like you and it depends when someone will reply to your query.

Are you on pay as you go or contract? If on contract did you activate roaming on your account before going abroad? No need to do this if on pay as you go.

Did you receive the welcome message?

If you look at my signature, you will find ways to speak to customer service, we have no account access and do not know who you are.

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it. I am on an all rounder contract (have two numbers under the account). Took them out in January 2024, so have another year until the contract ends.

I received the welcome message, but it just said “waiting” next to each option. Just the £8 one was available. I travel a fair bit for work and originally did text Travel in November, too. The link in the new text says “server not found” all the time now.

Would the phone number be free through What’s App too if necessary?

thanks again.

Matt.

Thanks again for your help. This is great to know. I’ll try a manual search, if not I will reach out to CS. I also appreciate the reminder about the contracts!

Thanks again
