I’ve been trying to get through to EE for days. I arrived on holiday in Spain unable to access data finally got through to EE last Thursday was put through to Apple as they believed it was a handset fault. This was diagnosed by Apple and repaired passed back to EE who promptly put the phone down on me I’ve sent many messages and a few days I’m being completely ignored. I’m very disappointed. I run a small business and communication is absolutely key while I’m on holiday. What can I do? They don’t even answer me.

@TerryQ1991 Have you enabled on the device under settings/mobile service/mobile data options. And enabled data roaming? This needs to be toggled on in order for data to work when roaming.

Yes, I travel for business every month. This is the first time I’ve had this issue.

@TerryQ1991 , have you done a manual search for network rather than automatic network?

Welcome to the Community, @TerryQ1991
I was in Spain recently myself, and also faced a bit of trouble connecting when I initially landed.
The usual manual network search and toggling airplane mode didn't sort this for me, but fully restarting my handset finally helped me find a network and receive a landing text.
What steps did our team try with you initially, and how did Apple leave things with you before passing this back to our team?

And in addition to asking what steps have been tried so far... are you able to make & receive calls currently? Are you able to send & receive texts currently?
Does the behaviour alter depending which local network you're connected to?

Would be surprised if the heatwave may be causing local issues with network equipment.
If data is that important, maybe buy a local eSIM which may be using other networks and not have an issue?
