@danidigiulio , that will not work, as esim are not available for pay as you go, sorry, you would need a physical SIM card that has been used first in the UK for it to work and have your friend send it to you, but you would need to send your SIM card back to the UK to be activated and then returned to you to work.

Also once you have the SIM card activated, I would take a look at this thread about SIM cards on pay as you go going into hibernation, as that could be important:

Hi @danidigiulio,

Welcome to the EE Community

Since your move to pay as you go did you use your SIM for chargeable activity whilst in the UK such as a call or text, as if so that should activate roaming on pay as you go.

But if you had not then roaming wont be active and cannot be activated whilst outside the UK unfortunately.

If you think roaming may be active have you tried manually changing between available networks?

@danidigiulio : When was your SIM moved to PAYG? It takes 30 days notice to cancel a contract & before it is moved to PAYG. Had that change taken place while abroad you can't now use it at all while abroad. To be used abroad EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

Hi @danidigiulio

Your Pay As You Go SIM would need to be used in the UK first for it to activate.

Are you able to send your SIM to a friend in the UK so they can activate it, then send it back to you?

Chris S

Go take to long for this.

If i order new sim and my friend in uk use there for active and after I transfer for esim? This is possible?

How in this they no have more easy and quickly solution?
