EU Roaming

I forgot to activate the 25£/month roaming pass prior to travelling and l can’t see it on my add-on options to activate retrospectively. Has the option be removed? 2.47£/day seems quite excessive especially when staying abroad more than a week. Can’t get hold of EE through Twitter and Aime the chatbot doesn’t understand the issue. Does anyone have any advice?

@Bumblebee295 : It's now £25 per week.

EE refreshed the way roaming works and as a part of this the Roam Abroad Pass has been removed from the 4th Dec.

Currently seems to be no weekly pass yet for the EU so the £2.47 per day is the only option if you want to be able to use your allowances.

A weekly EU Pass is "coming soon" at £15 per week.

See here for a detail of costs depending on country: https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/roaming/roaming-costs

@XRaySpeX  The £25 per week applies to the RoW Zone 1 Pass only and wouldn't be offered to a customer in the EU Zone upon landing.

Thanks, that is what l am seeing. I am shocked to be honest, it seems an absolute rip-off!

It is definitely an increase alright... while the daily rate hasn't changed, the monthly option being gone definitely isn't great for those that go away for beyond 2 weeks.

The only thing that starts to balance it out is that EE have started selling certain plans with EU Roaming included, namely their Essentials Plus plans and beyond.

It is outrageous

How can they justify going from £25 a month (30 days) to £15 for 7 days ?

From less than £1 a day to more than £2

It is not a refresh, it is a rip off

EU roaming was £25 for 30 days

Will be £15 for 7 days

Cant wait for the justification !
