EE Roaming NOT working in India!!

Well, arrived yesterday in Mumbai and received the ‘welcome to india bla blah’ text. Offered me the old package of 500mb got £6 odd, with no way to select the new 7 day data package for £37.50. EE app is as useful as a chocolate teapot, looping me round in to texting 150 > travelling > abroad > india (3 texts later)” don’t worry we’ll message you when you land “. 

Nice….

3 hours on customer support - L1 and L2, call back service is crap, maxed out my £20 spending cap pretty fast (assume I take a % of the inbound call??) Removed my spending cap, still no data. Put £20 spending cap back on, and arranged call back. Another SMS “spending cap reached” - real nice, cycled maybe £40 now in the first day.  No mobile data still available.

Tried everything, resets, resets EE side, manual a d automatic network selection, spending cap on and off. Also randomly getting text messages about 18+ content being available to change.

Absolute nightmare -   Now resorted to email contact with EE L2, might get it resolved in time to return home in 11 days.

Useless!!!

You have done the right thing reporting this to our technical support team who can get the account looked into and investigate why this is happening for you to get this sorted.
