Changes to roaming charges for Australia

Hi.. I purchased a roaming pass for use in Australia until 6th January or a few days, later. Midway through my trip, I have had a message to say charges will quadruple in December ( unclear whether from 4th or 14th) from 25 GBP a month to 35 oer week

If this is the case, I prefer to use a local simcard fton that date. I can't connect to  customer servicrs in UK. Can someone with authority please clarify?  Judy

@judym2 : Yes, EE's new Roaming rates launch on 4th Dec & you won't be able to use your existing Roaming Pass from 25th Dec. Oz will be £5 / day or £25 / week to use your EE UK allowances there.

Please visit Roaming Refresh for more info.

This is a complete rip off. I am a light user but I have always bought the £25 monthly roaming add on when in Australia and the USA for the odd call/ message . It will now cost over £100 for a 31 day month when in the USA. Contract is up in June could well be looking for a better provider.

You may arguably be better off paying per-minute/per-text

Thanks.. i bought a local e sim card for kess than 8 USD for a month,
though it was not helpful when I needed to make emergency calls to uk, so I
logged back on to ee for that tine. The e sims mean you can use whatsapp (
maybe more) on your usual mumber
