Hi there!

I'm having a weird issue with my EE simcard. I can recieve SMS but not able to send one, also unable to make or recieve calls from anywhere! I've done a topup so I have credit.

I'm outside of the UK and I think I've enabled roaming since I can recieve SMS. I can't call 150 with my simcard either... 😞

Is there any live chat or support email for EE?

Can anyone help me with my problem?

Hello @amirmohsenekt ,

Welcome to the community,

As you are out of the UK, did you activate your SIM card and make a chargeable call or text in the UK before going abroad? If not, then your SIM card will not work until you return to the UK and do that first, or send it to the UK and get someone to activate it and make a chargeable call or text.

Scams happen and EE have only customer service in the UK not somewhere like India. We are not lacking support, this is down to you to make sure that you are not being scammed, and also to report them.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Try manually connecting to all the local networks that are available, in turn. Are the symptoms identical on each one?

FYI: That Peter S also crops up in Scammers

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

I don't think I've done it. Isn't there any other methods like from the Portal or the App to do so?

Also, it's true that scammers are around everywhere, but I expect that at least they don't have access to my email address from my profile! That's really up to EE to protect my data!

It's 2025 guys, live support is now a trend. Even Apple does it! :$

Yeah, that didn't work either! 😶

When they have access to users' contact data and there's no support other than the phone number (like it's 1980s) not even an email address, that's a normal thing!

EE Community Support Team

Hi @amirmohsenekt

They will not have been able to get your email address from your profile details, as standard users would not have access to this view anything other than your posts and community username.

We don't offer an email support team, and live chat is only available in the EE app to those with a pay monthly contract account.

If you need to speak to our team, it would need be over the phone or you can dial +44 800 079 8586 through Skype.
