So, I've been in Portugal a while and have had no problems using my phone. The service was refreshed a couple of weeks ago, though. and since then I haven't been able to call out.
It's very frustrating. There's no way of contacting anyone at EE. They just provide a phone number which, obviously, my phone won't connect to.
I've paid for the service that allows me unlimited roaming and. yes. I did activate it before I left the UK.
I'm very frustrated and I need to make calls. Can someone advise? Thanks

@sarah0808 : Try calling CS on the Freephone no. in my sig. on Skype over WiFi. It should be free.
How did you "activate roaming" before you left the UK?

@sarah0808 You might want to read THIS And there is no such thing as unlimited roaming. There was an add on that allowed you to use your tariff allowance while there but it’s now changed to what I’ve linked to above.
Try restarting the device to see if what in that link actually happens.

What exactly do you mean by "the service was refreshed a couple of weeks ago"?
You've mentioned being abroad for a while and had no problems - so what exactly needed refreshing, and how was that done?
