new payg sim with new £20 subscription pack, no calls, no data!

Bought new payg sim (on 7th March) with new £20 subscription pack, but now, no calls, no data! It worked for a couple of calls as soon as I installed the sim  (9th March).  Now I am told I do not have enough credit to make any calls. I also dialed 150, to be again told  I have no credit. I restarted the phone, no change.  My phone settings tell me I have used 280MB of data in "the current period" .I understand my plan is for 5GB of data. I have had to make a new EE account to get on this forum. I have previously tried loging into the EE site, using my original registered email address, unfortunately I forgot my password, then tried to reset it, repeatedly. The problem is, the email link never reaches my inbox. I need this plan activated asap please. In my "EE important information on your £20 top up " : it says your chosen pack will start as soon as you call text or browse" it has not.

When you text AL to 150 does it report back saying you have 250mb?

Did you purchase the SIM direct from EE?

say I have zero credit. It also tells be verbally the same thing, each time
I try to make a phone call. My phone, in its settings tells me I have used
250 MB of data "in the current period"..(I think thats what it said)..Using
EE.
I bought the sim from EE.
