Want to check balance on sim card on iPad

We bought a sim card at HEATHROW, put it in iPad, no access to a phone (not needed).
How and where can we check the balance or keep track if usage?
The ee app does not work as it asks for a phone number. If I put in my Australian contact number, it says “put in a valid number”.

@bundybob   The sim does have a phone number all SIM cards do.  The number for the sim will be on the packet the sim came in.  Or on the device it listed  in Settings>About>Cellular Data Number.

You can also use this below to track your data usage.     Just save it on the Home Screen when it opens up.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

My iPad has no dial facility??

Messaging 150 to EE via messenger comes up with “that number is invalid, it is not registered with iMessage.

My iPad does not recognise EE contact number. It won’t give me the send option when I type in 150.

Don't use iMessage. Is there not an ordinary SMS messaging app?

I have sorted my problem. I had forgotten to turn of WiFi and work with just the mobile SIM.
Once I turned off the wifi, I was able to register my EE account and access my balance details.
Thanks for all the advice. This is my first time in the UK trying to navigate the iPad with a SIM card without having a phone to fall back upon.

All sorted thanks. Was able to finally get the app working. All I had to do was turn off WIFI.
