Want to add a payg sim that I have purchased to my account

I purchased a £10 sim via amazon for my son to use in a dongle for mobile wifi. However as I do not live close to him I am having trouble creating an account for the sim. I have tried using the mobile number and setting up my wife's name and a password, but the system says it has sent a text code to the sim, which I cannot see. I have added a £10 topup to the number, but how can I make an account to manage the sim payments and check data. It should have had another 15Gb added as advertised when i bought it. ?

Even if you could add his PAYG no. to your own contract a/c, which I believe you can't do, it would still need to send a verification text to that SIM & you would still need to read it & verify it back to your a/c.

To read the verification text your son would need to login to his MBB router at http://192.168.1.1 with username/pwd as "admin"/"admin" or with the admin password found under the battery cover & then look for the SMS section.

@NidgeB : Do you have the SIM in your possession? If so, put it in a phone to receive the text.

Then your son will need to read the text from his mobile router and convey it to you.

We cannot get the sim to activate even though it has now has been topped up remotely? So cannot read the code even if we knew how. If I could add the mobile number to my ee account I could manage it from there?

As a matter of interest why didn't you add it to your own account rather than your wife's? Was it because your account is for a contract number and you can't add a PAYG number to it?

I couldn't see where to add it to my account so didn't want to set it up in my name as expected it to reject the email for login. It still has not confirmed the account in my wifes name. Is it possible to add the payg to my account, I have a lot of contract sims and phone and watch on it already?
