Unknown nine-digit numbers on My EE website- what are they?

I have two PAYG sims in two separate phones, and they are both registered in My EE, so I can manage them from the phone app or the website.  When using the website, I'd normally switch between them using the green navigation button on the middle left of the screen.  My question is, when I go to switch my accounts, I get a choice of two nine-digit Single User Account numbers, but I can't figure out what these numbers refer to!  They are completely different from my phone numbers, and they don't resemble the SIM card numbers either.  Nor are they anything like the IMEI numbers of my phones.  Also, only one of these numbers seems to work when selected to toggle between my accounts.  So what are these numbers??

The phone app is different, as I get a drop-down menu containing both phone numbers, so it's easy to switch between accounts & see which account I'm accessing.  Thanks!

@Mustafa365 : They are just account nos. that EE assigned to your PAYG nos. when you registered them to MyEE. They are of no significance to you at all other than picking them out from "Switch A/c" drop-down when you want it to show the info on the other nos.

Thanks for your reply.  Yes, I thought that's what they must be.  It's annoying though, because on the home page for each account, it doesn't say which phone no I'm looking at, just the meaningless account number!  Luckily, I can tell from the package which number I'm dealing with, but it would be useful to also display the actual phone no.

The other funny thing is that I have to click on the same account number to toggle between the accounts!  If I click on the other account number, it asks me to input my new phone number & can't come out of the loop!

The phone app is generally much more intuitive to navigate around, but not so easy using the smaller touch screen...

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.

Not really, I think it would be better if the drop-down menu on the left of the PC app showed the phone numbers instead of the account numbers, as it does on the phone app.  It's just a bit confusing.

Possibly but as a user like you I have no control or influence over what it shows.

Of course!  Like you, I've learnt to live with it...  Luckily, I have only two accounts, otherwise it would be difficult to manage multiple phone numbers without knowing which one I'm looking at!
