I bought a EE sim last year while I was in the UK on holiday - it expires on 19 July 2024 (the date that shows on the sim wrapping).
I am flying back to the UK this week and ‘topped’ up my EE (my login was still valid and I was easily able to top up).
That was about half an ago and the data still shows zero – my £15 top up reflects but no data.
I sent a text message to my brother living in the UK (he confirmed receipt) thinking perhaps this would activate the sim.
So far nothing.
I have tried calling the call centre on their ‘overseas number’ and gave up after 20 minutes of waiting for someone to answer.
I would appreciate if someone in this community could assist and advise what I am doing wrong.
Thanks in advance.

@JackieRossouw you need to purchase a data add-on. The credit on your account doesn’t go towards data usage for that you need a pack or data add on which can be purchased via your be credit on the account. And seeing as though you’re not in the UK, you would have to purchase a data add-on for that location to use data in that location.
