Hello,
I am currently on a pay-as-you-go sim with EE, I've just topped up online so I can make calls and text. However, every time I've tried to make a call or text it says calls to this number are bared. I've also received a text saying I could lose my number soon so I am trying show its active.
I am travelling for a year so I'm out of the country and need to get in contact with the support team however I'm unable to call them (as per issue above). It seems they don't have a live chat feature anymore which is frustrating.
Any help or support would be much appreciated!

But that's for contracts. This thread is about PAYG where those settings are not.
Stops misleading peeps and read the posts 1st before replying with incorrect info. Anyway you're not allowed here.

As @XRaySpeX mentioned here, roaming will usually be enabled by default on pay as you go accounts, but you will need to activate it on our network first of all.
Did you use this number whilst you were in the UK, or is this the first time you've topped it up?

@XRaySpeX , the person, who has closed his account, have just checked, and there is nowhere where you can enable those things, you have to ring customer service to enable roaming or text, so not sure where he has got that from, it certainly is not in the app, I am writing about contract customers, different obviously for pay as you go, as it is automatically enabled.

@Schockwave The screenshots this user shared are from a much older version of the app, and also date from when roaming and international calling were separate on / off features.
It's been years since this was changed to the three roaming options we offer now, so this is definitely out of date advice.
For any roaming related queries, customers are always best heading over to our dedicated roaming pages so we can be sure they're getting the most up to date details 😊

@Peter_W , thank you, just wanted to make aware for users that may see it and wonder why they cannot see it, thought it was a very old app, pity some have to add their ore when they are not up to date with things etc.
