The contract on my number ended in December, I switched to top-up, and since then I have not been able to buy a package/top-up or check the balance on my phone.

As it was switched to PAYG while you were abroad you can't now use it until you return to UK. EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network before they can be used abroad.

the card has been in the UK since January, you can make calls etc, it was topped up for 15f, no package was selected and the money disappeared, strange
