I am currently in Papua New Guinea.. My EE Sim card was working perfectly fine when data roaming was switched on now it has suddenly stopped working and I need it to get back on as I use my ee number abroad for banking purposes

Data roaming just means using mobile data whilst roaming, you could also refer to "voice call roaming" or "text message roaming" - all of which require roaming to be working.

With that in mind, does your phone show a connection to any local networks? That's where roaming comes in. Try toggling flight mode and/or manually select an alternative local network - are you able to get local coverage that way?

@Nakisimeon26  Do you have credit on the account?   This is what it’ll cost you

To add to Chris' reply, this will be the solution if you're on PAYG (or pay-monthly with a spend cap) and your phone has coverage.. but can only receive texts.

Work from the base up, check for local coverage first and then be clear on your exact symptoms.
