Hi
[CONTEXT]
I have had my SIM CTN number for 17 years since a 6 month stretch working for T-Mobile. After my most recent contract ended, they could not offer me a deal I was agreeable with, so I asked Customer Services Call Center over the phone to terminate the rolling contract and migrate the number to PAYG. Most of my contacts, (friends, acquaintances etc) communicate with me using this number. I was using the internet on the number with a one-off 30G bundle and receiving and making calls on it in June.
[ACTUAL QUERY]
I noticed yesterday that the number is no longer registering on the network. When I called EE Customer Services they said the account is cancelled and the number is in hibernation. Is it not possible to re-activate the number or get a PAC code and move it to another network provider?
Thank you

@rlengu if it’s gone into hibernation you need to call customer services and ask them to reactivate it. Once it’s reactivated you can request your PAC code.

@rlengu : When did you last use it for a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-use. You then have a further 3 months to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.
You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.
