Problems Linking Number and unable to call 150 for help

Hi

I am living in the Netherlands and bought PAYG EE Sim which was activated in the UK.  I didn't add any package/product to the SIM at the time, but when I returned to the Netherlands, I tried to set up my account on the APP and desktop and it won't link my number after I confirm that I am the account holder/bill payer.  I've tried this several times and won't let me link the number.  When I tried to call 150 from my phone it said that this number is barred.  How can I link my number so that I can top up whilst I'm in the Netherlands?  I was also sent a message that I may need to pay extra for Roaming Charges - but I don't need to make any outgoing calls, I just need a UK number for any incoming calls while I'm in the EU.  Thanks for your help.

How activated? Did you use that PAYG SIM for making calls or texts in UK before you left to go abroad? EE PAYG SIMs need 1st activating on EE's home UK network before they can be used abroad. If it wasn't you can't now use it until you return to UK. If you bought no pack & have not topped up it was impossible to make calls or texts.

You still need to pay a daily roaming charge to receive calls, but not texts, in EU.

Hi, I only received a text on it, which seemed to work, so thought it was activated...didn't realise I had to send a text or make a call for it to activate...
