Preventing number disconnection due to inactivity (PAYG)

Hi, I received a text from EE saying that my Pay As You Go number will be disconnected in three months because I haven’t made a chargeable call, text, or used data in six months. I want to keep my number, and I’d like to confirm what exactly counts as a chargeable action. Would sending a single SMS or using a small amount of mobile data be enough to reset the inactivity period? Also, is there a way to extend the deadline if needed? Thanks in advance!

Wouldn’t I need to schedule a call with the EE team on Skype?

My last top up was 17/09/2023
