Pay As You Go Problems

I got a PAYG SIM from EE a couple months ago and after suffering a lot of problems I want to close my account and make sure I will not be charged anything. I recently received a call from someone claiming to be from EE who claimed they could reduce my bill, and I took it. However, since then I have been unable to use the app (not the account holder, apparently), and I've had to pay a bill for something I never used. I've contacted two separate customer service agents who both provided an EE email address, but I've yet to receive a response, and it's been over a week. Could someone please tell me how I can ensure that I won't end up paying any more bills, and explain what I need to do to leave EE entirely? I'm hoping the community isn't as atrocious as the customer service.

It seems you were persuaded into taking out a contract with EE. You will need to contact EE giving 30 days notice of cancellation of your mobile contract. If you are still within your min term you will be liable to pay early termination fees for the rest of the term. It will basically be months left x monthly charge - 4%.

You don't have bills or a/c holders with PAYG.

Sounds like the call you took from someone claiming to be from EE but probably wasn't has somehow led you into taking out a contract with EE.

However if you do happen to remain on PAYG, text STOP REC to 150 to stop any recurring payments. Just for good measure text STOP PACK to 150 to stop buying the pack. If you are on contract these texts will fail. Report back!

It appears as though they've failed as I've had no response.
