PAYG sim not connecting to internet in France

Hi. I've bought a new PAYG SIM with a £15 for 15GB over 30 days pack. Put it in my 4G Huawei mifi in France. Phone number showing correctly. All settings seem ok. It's picking up Orange France 4G signal. I've received messages from EE saying it's all good to go but it's showing I'm connected to the mifi with 'no internet'. 

Any ideas anyone please?

EE PAYG SIMs are auto-enabled for roaming, but need to be used on EE's UK network first before they will work abroad.

Did you do that? If not, that SIM will not work abroad until it is first used in the UK. Receiving text messages would suggest you have a network connection and that may be down to luck.

Thanks for the quick reply. No, I didn't use the SIM before I left the UK because I didn't need it! I checked the EE website and Terms and Conditions but can't see where it said that was required? Is it worth me calling them?

If that new EE PAYG SIM hasn't been used in the UK first, it will not now work until it is used in the UK.

There is no workaround for this.
