PAYG not accepting any calls?

Have a PAYG SIM. Top up only. Just added credit as thought might be that but basically when called from a three SIM it says 'this number is currently not accepting calls' and from three it says 'calls to this number cannot currently be connected.....very odd two different messages depending on carrier used. It's an old number and was working fine and also accepting and sending SMS but now neither work? Any ideas?

PAYG SIMs are subject to the hibernation policy which requires chargeable usage at least once every 6months, with a further 3months grace before outright disconnection.

When did you last use your SIM for a chargeable call or text (not from an add-on) or top-up?

Hi there

It is used infrequently but would have definitely been used at least for sms within 6 months and has been topped up inside the 9 months.
