Mobile PAYG topup online payment blocked

Reporting problem with PAYG payment topup web page

Goto PAYG topup/payment page
https://ee.co.uk/bills-payments/mobile/fast-payment-payg

Enter and confirm my T-mobile/EE mobile number:   07903 2468xx
Shows number is acceptable - both slots get a green tick

Tick the "I'm not a robot" reCAPTCHA box - Click on Continue button

Redisplays the mobile number entry screen
First slot shows number correctly
Second slot is wiped (ie empty) and shows red error text
"We're not able to accept payments to that number. Please try again."

I called support a few months ago and was told the tech dept was investigating
- and failure should be fixed within 7 days

Obviously not fixed - web interface unable to accept payments to my mobile number
This number was issued in 2000 by One2one and has been in continuous use since then
One2One was bought by T-Mobile and then by EE
The number works fine and is registered on my EE account - *********@****.com
- topup by phone works and a payment card is registered and valid. 

Can someone please re-investigate and report back if this can be fixed

@DougCuk   It does work as it’s often linked to within this forum.   Have you tried clearing the browser history and cookies? 

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.
