Lyca mobile have just launched eSIMS for PAYG! 

We now just need the big companies to catch up, if an NVMO can do it, so can the big 3/4

Vodafone seem to do esims for PAYG now or at least let you convert; physical to esim.

(Also they have 5G for PAYG)
