I'm currently using a mobile modem and ran out of data. I topped up with £20 (ee took that without a problem) but when I went to use it to buy data it's saying there's a problem and they're trying to sort it out. Anyone have any news on how long this may go on for, it's been several hours already and I'm a bit annoyed I've bought the top up but can't use it!

Hello Leanne, I agree, I’m having exactly same issue. Have topped up as normal but cannot buy data packs. 4G Wi-Fi PAYG. Have always bought data through add-on.ee.co.uk without problem, has a something changed in the last month from your side? This page either gives the Forbidden error or asks me to switch off my WiFi which I have never had to do before. This is through the EE app or through a browser like Safari.

Yes. It says there's a problem which they're trying to fix. I don't think
this is true, the only way I've been able to spend my top up was to buy a
package! I'm grateful this is only a temporary situation as I look forward
to cancelling. The product is not living up to its promises at the time of
purchase

I tried to but that's when I get the message...

I called the call centre in the end and they added the data pack for me but still doesn’t explain the web page block.

Are you able to add an add-on in your My EE account/app, @Blaney? Log in then go to Menu > Add-ons.
