Hi,
I'm on Pay As You Go and suddenly unable to receive 2FA texts when trying to log in to my bank account, or even my EE account. I also can't make or receive calls, nor am I able to top up from my own phone because when I ring 150, it tells me that it can't proceed because I need to top up.
I got my brother to top up £5 for me, but when I ring 150 it still tells me that I need to top up. I only had £0.25 before that.
He sent me a text message as a test and I instantly received it, but he tried calling me but it wouldn't connect.
I don't know what is going on. I have a strong signal, but its as though I've been cut off. Nothing is working, but I can receive text message from personal numbers only.
Has my phone been put into hibernation?
Thank you,

Sounds like your PAYG SIM may have gone into hibernation due to non-use.
When did you previously make a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months period of grace to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.
You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.

Hi, I think it could have been exactly 6 months ago when I last sent a text or call. The last time I received a call was 10 days ago which was a spam call.

Receiving calls is free, so don't count.

Yes but I said "I think it could have been exactly 6 months ago when I last sent a text or call."
