How can I get my PAC code

My sim is pay as you go. I used to top up £5 via ee app. Today my sms service stopped working so I logged in, tried topping up with my £5 credit, then see you no longer do the £5 top up.

Without sms service I cannot use text 150 for help, top up, or absolutely anything.

Now I just want to leave ee. How do I get my PAC code???? sms don't work and I tried via your website which then tells me it's unavailable due to current technical problems.

Chat bot is only interested in trying to get me to sign monthly contract... I just want my PAC code.

I don't leave the house often so mostly only use WhatsApp with my bt WiFi and use the sms here and there. But I'm guessing as I've not topped up for a few months my sms service has stopped.

I don't live in the tech world like you techs who deal with this stuff every day. Honestly your website keeps saying it's currently having technical difficulties with no pages to go further. So how else am I supposed to get my PAC code: unable to use sms, txt, phone, your ee website issues.... this an absolute nightmare.

Help would be greatly appreciated TY.

@slippersareon  Texting 150 is free and you don’t need credit or a text allowance to text 150.    I’ve got a feeling your sim has gone in to hibernation for lack of use.   You might what to read THIS

If you want your PAC code first you need a working sim so the link explains how to sort this.

To get a you just text PAC to 65075.   But first you need a working sim and not a sim in hibernation.

No network will keep a none use sim active as they don’t know you haven’t just decided to get a new sim with a new number.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Hello Chris thank you for your time and replying. That makes a lot of sense. I kind of had a feeling the sim went into hibernation, well may a little late, just after I topped up £5 credit today. I know, head in hands emoji here lol. I wish though I'd have received messages reminding of my account needing to show some activity as I received none.

On the other hand, would ee still take £5 off me today if knowing that account was in hibernation!? or just maybe it's not...

Either way, I'll phone/ text EE on 150 from another phone to find out as I'm unable to make those messages/ calls with this sim card.

I have already tried the basics: restarted the phone, re-inserted the sim, dusted it lightly with brush.. But sadly no joy.

If it turns out that my card is in hibernation, I will be slightly annoyed that EE doesn't have some kind of knowing it's already in that state and stops you updating your credit or gives some kind of message first...but is what it is I guess.

Thanks again for replying, I'll post back how all goes.

@slippersareon  You should of got a text informing you of this.   It’s strange that you didn’t.   And yes you can still top up even with a sim in hibernation.  Until the sim is fully deactivated it’s still a working account that can receive top ups at present as its only a sim in hibernation.

OK thanks Chris for informing me. I was just about to go for a £10 pay as you go package but it's not worth the risk. Just incase it is gone so long in hibernation and cannot be used again. Also, I wish I could buy the £10 pack from my credit that way I just top up another five pounds. But there's only the option to buy with card...

I then went to try leaving EE again as feeling annoyed tbh but going the leaving process takes me to more EE redirected pages that load with error messages, even more annoying lol.

I'll just phone them tomorrow and hope for the best.

Thanks again for your info, peace out, all the best Chris.
