So when I load up the app, it says my account has been closed and a reminder to pay the final bill. I don't know what to do because I was never on a contract. I always used pay as you go, topped up a £10 a month cause I only need it for basic stuff.
What am I supposed to do?

@BlueBecky : That msg to pay you bill is standard whether you are contract or PAYG. On PAYG you can safely ignore it.
Sounds like your PAYG SIM may have gone into hibernation due to non-use. If it has, topping-up now would be too late.
When did you previously make a chargeable action? EE PAYG SIMs are deactivated after 6 months of non-chargeable use. You then have a further 3 months period of grace to call EE to reactivate it before it is lost completely.
You needed to make a chargeable action like making a chargeable call or text, topping up or buying a Pack or Add-on, not just using your mins, texts or data from your pack.

I did have an issue where I lost my previous number cause at the time I wasn't using my phone for much. I then had to get another ee sim for a new number.
Will that message still stay on the app even if I have another pay as you go payment active?
