Contract ended now I want to swap to PAYG

Hi,

My contract finished a couple of months ago and I’m still paying £60 ish a month just for the sim.

My phone is still only 2 years old so not bothered about swapping it so I just want to swap over to PAYG. I want to keep my number but don’t want a sim with a contract just so that I’m not tied in if I want a new phone in the future.

The EE website won’t allow me to use the upgrade feature to change onto PAYG only to upgrade to a new phone contract or a sim contract.

Is there a way to do this online.

I can’t even get to see sim PAYG deals once I’ve logged in. It’s as though they really don’t want me to see them.

Thanks

Not online. You need to call CS & cancel your contract by giving 30 days notice & at the same time ask for it to be moved to PAYG.  You keep your SIM & no. ; just the plan on it is changed to PAYG.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

A SIM-only plan does not prevent you from doing this. If you change to a SM-only plan, you can still upgrade back to a phone-plan at any time.

The minimum contractual term ties you only to EE's network, not to the specific plan.
