Changing from legacy (orange) pack

Hi,

I'm currently on an old Orange PAYG subscription.

If I order a new free SIM and buy the 8GB subscription pack, will I keep my number?

Are there any issues with simply swapping the SIMs?

Thank you

Hi @albritten,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Yes, you can keep the same number.

Please see How do I move to EE from legacy brands? for more details.

Thanks

James

Hi,

Thanks for replying.

I've topped up my £10 new number, will I just have to wait for it to revert back to my old number?

Also, will my credit transfer as well? I have £56 in credit.

Thank you.

Alan

Hi @albritten,

Yes, your number and credit should transfer automatically within 24 hours.

James

Yes, as long as you got this new SIM by following the above process & going into an EE Store.

Hi,

What do you mean?

The video said order online OR go in-store. I ordered online and specifically asked if it’s just a case of swapping the SIM and waiting for my number to be transferred. You can see the conversation…

Thanks

Well, I read Order your EE pay as you go SIM and get £10 free credit as having to visit an EE Store. Also I can't see by ordering an EE PAYG SIM online can in any way be linked with your existing Orange SIM & the transferring of its no to it.

Even the video, now I've watched it, is way out-of-date with its Everything Packs starting at £1. They no longer exist.

I have no access to any convo you may have had anywhere other than here..

Are you sure about this?

I’m now being advised I have to go in-store

Thanks

Also, the video you linked me to is apparently out of date
