Can't receive text messages

It's been over a month now I cannot receive text messages. I can receive calls, send texts and make calls. I've tried resetting network, reset phone, deleted old messages. Tried another sim in my phone and it works fine. I cannot receive verification codes to log in accounts online. I went to an EE shop and asked there to a reply of 'I don't know'. I am pay as you go and buy a pack every month

When I send myself a text I get an 'we couldn't send your message' error and the text doesn't go through

Thanks for coming to our community.

Before the problem started, were texts always coming through fine? Did anything happen around the time it stopped working such as changing phones or a number change etc?
