£5 payg plan?

Why has it been removed? I'm a pensioner who barely uses his phone but now I'm either going to have to pay double or have no plan and pay 40p a minute. You should be helping people in these times as we're all skint. I don't need data as I use my WiFi I didn't even use half of my calls last time so now if I want it the cheapest is £10. Been with EE since it was T-mobile and this feels like a kick in the teeth as you're forcing the likes of me to pay 100% more.

Going into my local store was a waste of time they said the PLAN05 doesn't exist but if I pay £9 a month direct debit I could get the £10 plan for £1 cheaper, err no thanks.

I won't be wasting time going to my local store only to sit around waiting to be seen, and then simply told the £5 plan is no longer operational.  There'd also be the small matter of being without a functioning phone until I could get into town at the weekend. Really disappointed with EE. I understand that things change and evolve, but giving no notice (and contradictory messaging when I try and figure out what's happening) is really poor. I'll just have to get the £10 pack and look around at alternatives when I have more time.

Basically what they've done is increase the lowest payg plan from £5 to £10 and covered it by adding data and minutes that we don't need or we wouldn't have been using plan05, why not increase it to £6?

As above I too will be looking at other deals elsewhere once this plan ends this month. I hardly use my phone and have loads of minutes and data left so £5 more for something I won't use is a big no from me,  I expected better from EE.
