My wife and I both have PAYG phones. Hers is a very basic Alcatel, hers show 4g connection. I have just bought a new phone a Samsung Galaxy A15. Mine doesn't show any option for 4g. Connections-mobile networks, shows LTE/3g/2g (auto connect), 3g/2g (auto connect), 3g only, 2g only. no 4g option at all. Any ideas where it might be? Got a new sim to fit this phone old phone didn't support 4g.

That is with LTE/3G/2G Auto, yes it's still under warranty. I have tried doing a factory reset but still the same.

We need to wait, as Pic needs approving by a Mod.

Or type up the info.

The image contains an identifiable IMSI so can't be approved, but I can see it.

All the network parameters are 2G ones, including the dBM figures - I don't see any basis for the coverage being an issue here, and would be very interested in the specific results of the SIM swap test.

@antighsiothail1 can you PM me the Pic, hopefully @bristolian or someone can approve the PM pic.

Or, post up the Pic without any Phone Number or IMSI or IMEI.

IMG_0666edit.jpgIs that ok? Phone number only has a load of zeros anyway.

Ok, so I don't have a Samsung or Android device in front of me so I'm going to be doing all this from memory.

First off, you will have 2 Phone info's Phone 0 which is Sim Slot 1 and Phone 1 which Sim Slot 2.

Half way down you will see - Set Preferred Network Type,  under this will be a Box, tap on the Box and it should bring up an options Menu, your looking for something like, LTE/WCDMA/GSM (PRL Auto) , or if its a 5G Phone it's will be something like NR/LTE/WCDMA/GSM (PRL Auto) or 5G/LTE/WCDMA/GSM (PRL auto), be careful of what you are doing here, have a look and see if you have this option, you will need to do this for both Phone 0 (Sim1)  and Phone 1 (Sim2), if so select one of the options.

Also on the Top Right (3 Dots Menu) should also bring up a Menu, Also Post up what your Options are.

I had tried this before, but perhaps didn't wait long enough. So I swapped sims with my wife's phone, on her display next to the signal bars she gets a capital E. On mine with wifi enabled I get Vo)), and with wifi disabled I get the 4g icon and Vo)). So after all this it does seem to be down to the sim. Think I need to get in touch with EE and get a new sim. Thank you to everyone who has offered advice. Think I need to go get a life now -)
